I'm leaving for Las Vegas tomorrow!  YAY!  Vacation!  Most people think of Vegas as an adult only vacation spot but when it comes to my family... it's one of our favorite places to go.  I'm very lucky.  My grandparents live about fifteen minutes from the strip.    

Not to mention my grandfather looks like Al Pacino but about fifteen pounds heavier.  Everyone assumes that he's Italian because of his light coloring and his striking resemblance to The Sopranos cast.  My family hails from Spain, so we are all fairly light skinned.  He also wears big gold necklaces, rings, bracelets and watches.  He is quite the character.  I promise to take pictures and report back.  

I will also get to see my father, stepmother and my age eleven firecracker of a little sister.  Tomorrow they are flying out of Grand Junction, Colorado.  It's both of their first times to fly, my dad is already in Vegas. (Lucky!)  I have spent the entire week dealing with phone calls about airport security.  I'm more than happy to soothe fears and inform.  Their excitement makes me so happy!  

I'm going to share with you my very favorite spot in Las Vegas.  The Excalibur.  I've been in love with the Excalibur my entire life.  When I first saw the huge castle I was sold!  Plus, they have one of the better arcades in Vegas.  My little sister and I can hang out all day just winning big stuffed animals. 

My husband and I have our own favorite little spot.  There is a little lounge and a bar (by the third and fourth tower) that if you sit down the bartenders give you drinks for free and I can play all the video keno that I want.  I love keno and playing the slots. Did you know Keno has one the worst odds? I have always wanted to try Roulette or Craps.  You know what they say about beginners luck!

I love Vegas.  I love the life, the lights and the dry hot weather.  Not to mention you can order alcohol and get it in a whale bone.
